In 2022, we appointed Patrick Andrews to the board as a Non-Executive Director. Patrick has had an association with I & H Brown for over 20 years, first as a lawyer and now as a director. Patrick was a Partner with Shepherd & Wedderburn, one of Scotland’s leading corporate & commercial law firms for over 25 years. He was appointed Chief Executive in 2004, a position he held for 10 years. He has a strong eye for detail and provides sound counsel to the Board of Directors regarding commercial, legal and management matters. 

On the 1st January 2023, we appointed 2 further people to the Main Board. First of which was our Construction Director Barry Angus. Barry first worked for I & H Brown as a Graduate in 1992 on a placement before joining the business permanently in 2002 as a Site Agent. For the past 20 years, he has worked his way up through the company to his current role. Barry brings a wealth of experience to the Board along with technical and commercial ability. 

Ed Brown was also appointed to the board in January of this year. Ed joins his father Scott and brother Duncan on the Main Board as a Non-Executive Director. Ed is a chartered accountant with 10+ years corporate advisory experience across a range of sectors. Ed qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte working in both the UK and Australia before joining Teneo in February 2021 as Associate Director. Ed brings strong financial capabilities to the board which includes audit, business reviews, working capital management and performance improvement.
These new appointments supplement our management team with new and varied skills. Our leadership team are now better prepared to meet challenges and capitalise on opportunities in the future.
